System Enhancement Presentation
(October 28, 2000)
The District Engineer talked to the Santa Fe Trail Chapter of the US Highway 50 Association about the System Enhancement Program, including the application and selection process. The Santa Fe Chapter of the Highway 50 Association includes representatives from eight western and central counties through which US 50 passes.
Project Updates
(March 2, 2000)
The District Engineer spoke to Southwest Kansas Highway Users Association about the coming projects for the 2000 construction season.
Meade flyer
(March 2000)
The district mailed a two-page flyer to the citizens of Meade explaining projects on two state highways that pass through the town. The flyer was mailed to more than 870 box holders in May. This mailing followed news releases that were sent to the local media in March and April.
Monthly Santa Fe Trail Chapter of the US 50
Association Meetings
The District Engineer or his representative attends the monthly meeting of the Santa Fe Trail Chapter of the US 50 Association to provide input and answer questions regarding KDOT policies and procedures and upcoming projects.
Legislative Coffees
(As scheduled)
The District Engineer or the appropriate Area Engineer attends the scheduled legislative coffees in various communities in order to answer any questions regarding highway construction, maintenance, and safety.
