management business. Derick also works directly with content
management analysts and frequently meets with customers
around the world. He is also the strategist for content
management offerings from IBM. His educational and career
background is computer science and physics; Derek holds
a B.S. in Physics from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY,
USA and continued with his graduate studies in physics at
the University of Iowa, Iowa City IA, USA. |

During his 37 year career with the Kansas
Department of Transportation, Mr. Comstock has worked in
the areas of planning; developing federally funded projects
with cities and counties; estimating and letting construction
projects; developing and coordinating the multi-year Kansas
Comprehensive Highway Programs; directing the design of
state highway roads and bridges; and is currently Director
of Engineering and Design for the department. He holds a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the
University of Missouri at Rolla, a Master of Science Degree
from the University of Missouri at Columbia, and is a licensed
professional engineer in Kansas and Missouri. |

the history and fundamentals of workflow technology,
basic implementation strategies,

deployment. This presentation will continue the “basics of” conference
series as a non-technical, solutions oriented presentation.
Mr. Just has 12 years’ experience in the process
management industry, the last 10 in consulting practice.
He focuses on helping organizations attain operational
excellence using process analysis and redesign techniques,
often utilizing best-of-breed technologies including
enterprise document management, workflow and related
software. His diverse experience in business and computing
environments gives him a unique perspective on business
problems and insight into creative ways of solving them.
He specializes in assisting clients through the process
of needs assessment, technology evaluation and vendor

Russ Gould is the Senior Product Marketing Manager

Mr. Gould manages the marketing efforts for FileNet's

joining FileNet, Mr. Gould was Director, Product Management
for Cardiff Software, Inc. where he was responsible

Terry Menta is one of the first full-time consultants
in imaging technology, and developed many of its training
materials. An internationally known end-user educator,
he develops coursework for and conducts several international
series of seminars. Terry works with end users, analyzing
requirements and determining the most cost-effective
technology. Since 1976 he has successfully managed
information resource management consulting practices
in large software houses and management consulting
firms. His specialty since 1988 is electronic document
management. His solid experience in electronic document
management includes his being president of an image
and information resource consulting firm, and a contract
consultant specializing in corporate familiarization
and education in electronic document management. His
AIIM involvement includes his receiving AIIM's "Excellence
in Electronic Imaging" award; founding the Electronic
Image Management Special Interest Group; serving as
Education Task Force Chairman; serving as program
coordinator for National Conferences; being Program
Chair for a National Conference; and serving as a
General Conference Chair. He frequently speaks on
technology and life-cycle development methodologies
for electronic document management systems. Mr. Menta’s
most recent client engagement involved the analysis,
design, and planning for a city-wide EDMS solution
at the City of Las Vegas.
