There is pent-up demand for transportation improvements all across the state. As T-WORKS comes to a close, it’s time to move FORWARD – to a new transportation program tailored to meet today and tomorrow’s needs.

FORWARD is:

 - A plan for Kansans, developed in consultation with Kansans, that works for the whole state.

 - Designed with flexibility to address challenges and opportunities faster, giving KDOT the opportunity to partner with communities and solve problems from the ground up.

 - Needed now. Aside from the delayed T-WORKS projects, the state doesn’t have shovel-ready projects – our development and construction pipelines are empty - and communities need certainty to succeed.
