Video Library: KSBEO's Video Library consists of over 30 titles related to Occupant Protection and Child Passenger Safety issues and includes six videos in Spanish. Videos are available for checkout for a minimum of two weeks, but other arrangements can be made as needed. Please view KSBEO's Video Library online or contact KSBEO for more information.

 

Safe Driving Refresher: is a course offered to all businesses and organizations interested in improving the overall safety and manner in which employees travel. Designed with safe travel, good judgment and wise practice in mind, this 3 hour interactive presentation is heavy on audience participation and feedback. Participants will identify distractions and other common accident causes, watch traffic safety videos, and participate in activities that review information presented in most high school Driver's Education programs. At the conclusion of this course, students receive a completion certificate that can sometimes be sent to insurance agents for a discount in insurance rates. Technical Assistance: KSBEO would be happy to assist you or your organization in any way we can. We are almost always willing to get involved with community or individual programming and events by providing technical assistance. Please notify KSBEO of your next Health and Safety Fair, Seat belt or General Safety Presentation, Conference, Community Event or Promotional Event. We'll do our best to get involved by supporting your efforts.

Boosters to Belts Road Team Instructor Training: KSBEO will host the 2nd annual Boosters to Belts Road Team Instructor Training on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005 at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy ( 2505 E. Iron) in Salina. This five-hour course will equip individuals to be a resource for booster seat information and programming to their local community. Once trained, Road Team members will be qualified to schedule and deliver Boosters to Belts PowerPoint presentations to children ages 4 - 9. They will also be able to assist parents, caregivers and educators in the essentials of safe travel for this age group thanks to a resource packet of educational materials included.
This free training begins at 9:45 am. and will conclude around 3 pm. with lunch provided. Overnight stay is not provided. To register: Click Here. Individuals will be notified of their acceptance two weeks prior to the training and additional information will be sent at that time.

Lifesavers 2005: Lifesavers is the premier national highway safety conference dedicated to reducing the tragic toll of deaths and injuries on our nation's roadways. Since the early 1980s, attendance has grown steadily each year, drawing over 1,800 registrants in 2004. As time goes on, the Lifesavers Conference becomes even more relevant and timely, providing a forum that delivers common-sense solutions to today's critical highway safety issues.

This year the conference will be held March 13th - 15th at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. A wide range of safety topics will be addressed, from child passenger safety and occupant protection to roadway safety, vehicle safety and technology. This conference will also address the latest information on advances in highway safety, highlight successful programs across the nation and draw attention to emerging safety issues.

Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week: It's time to start planning events for Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week (CPSAW) 2005. This year's focus will be on increasing booster seat usage. KSBEO encourages everyone to get involved in CPSAW 2005 by doing something positive in your community. Schedule a check lane event, give a presentation, organize a local media event or develop a new idea. Whatever you decide, please contact KSBEO by Feb. 1st. Let us know what you plan to do and if we can assist you. With your help, CPSAW 2005 will be a huge success.
