Environmental

Welcome to the Environmental Services section. Here's a short description of what we do:

Environmental services conduct studies and investigations related to the clearing of KDOT activities for environmental concerns and the identification and acquisition of permits. The environmental reviews include traffic noise, air quality, historical, archeology, wildlife, water quality, farmland preservation, wetlands, and hazardous waste. This section also has primary responsibility for landscape design and roadside vegetation in connection with construction and maintenance projects as well as the design of roadside rest areas.

The Environmental Services section consists of six parts: Hazardous Waste, Wildlife, Permits, Roadside, Historic Preservation, & Highway Traffic Noise.
