Responsible Alcohol Service Workshops

  • Education for bartenders/servers about the effects of alcohol, how to recognize impairment and techniques for discouraging customers from drinking and driving.
  • Training for servers in the identification of fake IDs.
  • Planning guide available upon request.
  • Videos available from our loan library:
    • Budweiser I.D.Training - Includes 1) How to check ID's, 2) What types of ID acceptable/altered, 3) How to spot second party sales, 4) Recognizing behavior clues such as intoxication, and 5) How to handle all these instances. Length is 10 minutes.
    • TIPS for Social Functions - This training program teaches servers and sellers of alcohol how to recognize, detect and prevent intoxication in their patrons. It addresses unique situations associated with alcohol sales or service at social events such as wedding receptions, banquets, country clubs and private parties.

Cops in Shops: A Partnership to Stop Underage Purchase of Alcohol

  • A team effort between liquor retailers and law enforcement to stop the illegal underage purchase of alcohol and to apprehend adults who procure alcohol for minors.
  • A program that balances public awareness with enforcement of underage drinking laws.
  • An information packet is available upon request.
  • Cops in Shops Training video is available from our loan library. Length is 10 minutes.

Speakers for Driver Education Classes

  • Presentations are available to help teen drivers understand the dangers of alcohol use and the consequences of drunk driving.
  • Demonstrations using Fatal Vision Goggles allow students to experience the visual and coordination impairment caused by alcohol consumption.

Safe & Sober Event Planner

  • A resource guide that suggests ideas/activities to increase student awareness about the dangers of alcohol use and drunk driving is available upon request.
  • Offers many resources to assist groups in planning events that promote positive change in student attitudes.
