ITS is the application of advanced sensor, computer, electronics, and communications technologies and management strategies – in an integrated manner – providing traveler information – to increase the safety and efficiency of the surface transportation system. ITS is not … technology for technology’s sake – ITS is user service oriented. Each ITS user service targets specific transportation problems such as safety, inefficiency, or reduced mobility.

ITS Set-Aside Program

ITS Set-Aside Program (ITS Projects) - The goal of this program is to further promote ITS within the state by funding studies, research, technology developments, and technology applications.
