Conclusion

KDOT has made significant strides in the public involvement arena in the last few years. KDOT’s Public Involvement Program is built on a solid foundation, one that calls on public involvement to be a way of life at the agency not just an event. The agency has enjoyed a tremendous amount of support from our internal customers, which has helped make the PI Program successful. We look forward to a continued partnership with these customers as well as with the Federal Highway Administration as we build on this foundation and continue to improve our public involvement processes.
