Northcentral Kansas (District Two)

  • Lindsborg Town Meeting

(January 2000)

The District Engineer sponsored a town meeting to allow the citizens an opportunity to provide input on the timeline for construction of the Lindsborg/Bridgeport interchange. The goal was to minimize negative economic impact on the community.

  • Wakefield Bridge Replacement Presentation

(March 2000)

The Area One Engineer gave a presentation about the history of the Wakefield Bridge at Milford Lake to a group of concerned citizens. The presentation also included a detailed overview of the work involved in the planned replacement of that bridge including a list of improvements and the detour that was in effect during construction.

  • Public Forums

(Planned for Fall of 2000)

The District Engineer, Public Involvement Liaison, and the Area Engineers will host public forums to brief the public on the System Enhancement Program choices. The group will answer questions about the project selection process and the schedule of the projects in District Two. The employees will also ask for input about any other issues that the public wants to discuss.
