Public Transportation

KDOT administers public transportation programs funded by the Federal Transit Administration and the State of Kansas. Both the Federal and State programs are designed to meet the transportation needs of elderly persons, persons with disabilities, and the general public. KDOT currently supports approximately 108 transit providers covering 99 of the state's 105 counties.

We will be holding workshops later this month at 4 locations across the state. These workshops are intended to educate existing providers and any agencies interested in applying for funding about what programs we offer and the details of each program. We will be discussing the application process and discuss in detail the process within Black Cat, our grant management software.  Mike Spadafore and Cory Davis will be presenting.
