Project Description
There is more traffic and development than what was projected in a study completed in 2003 in this area. The needs of this study include controlling access along 47th Street, adding lanes to provide more capacity, and to provide sufficient service to adjacent business properties. Improvements could include signals at 48th & Broadway, 47th & Emporia and at the ramp terminals, access changes along 47th Street to improve safety, changes to the highway interchange configuration to improve access to new developments, and retaining and improving the frontage road system for businesses along 47th Street.
