Scope of Work
This is a preliminary engineering study to evaluate and determine a preferred alignment.

Project Length
18.4 Miles

Project Description
Planning a new roadway for K-96 in Rice and Reno counties between the communities of Nickerson and Sterling.

Project Purpose
To provide a high-class, reliable and predictable transportation facility to provide for efficient and safe regional mobility; improve local roadway safety and enhance local community vitality.

Project Need
Accommodate local and regional growth, oversized freight on non-local roadways and improve emergency vehicle response times.
