SHORT TERM
Short term project closures listed below typically take place during daylight hours. Project completion dates typically range from 1 to 30 days, weather permitting.
 

JOHNSON COUNTY

I-435

Westbound left lane at US-69 will be closed for concrete barrier work on Tuesday/Friday, February 7-10 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (US-69 & I-435 Red Project) Project work is scheduled to be completed on Friday, February 10. (New 2-2-12)

US-69

Southbound right lane at I-35 will be closed for barrier repair work on Monday, February 6 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Monday, February 6. (New 2-6-12)

College Boulevard

Eastbound and westbound right lane will be closed at US-69 for traffic signal work on Tuesday, February 7 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (US-69 & I-435 Red Project) Project work is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday, February 7. (New 2-6-12)

Quivira Road

Southbound right lane will be closed at I-435 for bridge work on Monday/Tuesday, February 6-7 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (US-69 & I-435 Red Project) Project work is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday, February 7. (New 2-2-12)

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY

No projects at this time.

WYANDOTTE COUNTY

No projects at this time.

LONG TERM

Long term project closures listed below typically take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Project completion dates typically range from 31 days up to a year, weather permitting.

 

JOHNSON COUNTY

US-69

Northbound US-69 left lane will remain closed from 103rd Street to 91st Street for reconstruction work. Project work is scheduled to be completed in spring 2012. (New 12-9-11)

Switzer Road

All lanes of Switzer Road will be closed from College Boulevard to 119th Street (near Indian Creek) for realignment work as part of the US-69 & I-435 interchange improvement project beginning on Monday, July 18. A marked detour will be provided. Project work is scheduled to be completed in mid-March 2012. (Rev. 11-28-11)

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY

Leavenworth County Road 5

Beginning on Monday, May 16 at 6:00 a.m., Leavenworth County Road 5 will be closed over Stranger Creek bridges for a bridge replacement project. A marked detour will be provided with traffic utilizing County Road 9 and Dempsey Road. Project work is scheduled to be completed in early spring 2012. (New 5-13-11)

WYANDOTTE COUNTY
