Project Purpose

Project Need
The Amelia Earhart Memorial Bridge is structuraly deficient and functionally obsolete (does not have shoulders). The existing bridge is congested during peak periods of flow, and the level of service is expected to degrade, based on forecasted traffic growth rates.
