WEATHER PERMITTING

SHORT TERM

Short term project closures listed below typically take place during daylight hours. Project completion dates typically range from 1 to 30 days, weather permitting.

JOHNSON COUNTY

I-35

Northbound reduced to one lane at Gardner Road between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for bridge repair work. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 9.

Southbound right lane will be closed from Southwest Boulevard to Antioch Road between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for pavement marking work. This will be a moving lane closures. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 9.

I-435

Northbound and southbound will have alternating lane closures from Woodend Road to I-35 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and then again from 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. for pavement striping work. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Friday, July 25.

Southbound right lane will be closed at Little Mill Creek between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for mudjacking work. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 9.

K-10

Westbound right lane will be closed at Lexington Avenue between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for guardrail repair work. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 9.

US-56

Eastbound and westbound will be reduced to one lane from the Douglas/Johnson County line east to the west Gardner city limits during daylight hours for a resurfacing project. Project work is scheduled to be completed in mid-July 2008.

US-69

Northbound and southbound right lane will be closed will have intermittent lane closures from 135th Street to Blue Valley Parkway between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for bridge equipment work. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Friday, July 11.

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY

No projects at this time.

WYANDOTTE COUNTY

I-35

I-435

Westbound I-70 to northbound I-435 ramp will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for pavement patching. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 9.

Ramps at southbound Parallel Parkway and Leavenworth Road will have intermittent closures from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for resurfacing work. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 9.

I-70

Westbound I-70 to northbound I-435 ramp will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for pavement patching. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 9.

LONG TERM

Long term project closures listed below take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Project completion dates typically range from 31 days up to a year, weather permitting.

JOHNSON COUNTY

I-35

Northbound and southbound will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Antioch Road to Southwest Boulevard between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday evening through Friday morning, and again Friday evening through Monday morning for pavement patching and resurfacing work. This closure will be in effect through late August 2008.

I-435

Eastbound and westbound will experience lane closures from the US-69 interchange to Metcalf Avenue for a pavement repair project. Repair work will first be completed on all eastbound I-435 lanes, and then work will move to the westbound lanes of I-435. Work will occur Sunday through Thursday with all lanes closing at 7:00 p.m. each evening and reopening to all traffic at 6:00 a.m. the next morning. This closure will be in effect through mid-August 2008.

US-69

Westbound College Boulevard entrance ramp to northbound US-69 is reduced to one lane. This closure will be in effect through early fall 2008.

Southbound right lane will be closed from 167th Street to199th Street for a bridge repair project for the following US-69 bridges. This closure will be in effect through mid-September 2008.

Southbound US-69 over 191st Street bridge
Southbound US-69 over the Blue River bridge
Southbound US-69 over 199th Street bridge

Northbound over 207th Street bridge will be reduced to one lane for a bridge repair project. This closure will be in effect through mid-September 2008.

Gardner Road

Northbound and southbound will be reduced to one lane across the Gardner Road Bridge over I-35 for bridge repair work. Traffic will be directed by temporary traffic signals located at both ends of the bridge. The traffic signals will be operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the project duration. This closure will be in effect through mid-August 2008.

199th Street

Eastbound and westbound will be closed in each direction from Webster to Woodland Road for a road rehabilitation construction project. This closure will be in effect through early August 2008.

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY

No projects at this time.

WYANDOTTE COUNTY

I-70

Eastbound I-70 over the Lewis and Clark/Intercity Viaduct bridge will be reduced to two lanes
for a bridge expansion joint replacement. This closure will be in effect through mid-August 2008.

Eastbound I-70 to 7th Street Trafficway ramp is closed for a bridge replacement project. This closure will be in effect through December 2008.

I-435

Northbound will be reduced to two lanes at Parallel Parkway for a bridge repair project. This lane closure will be in effect through mid-summer 2008. WORK TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.

Northbound ramp to westbound Parallel Parkway will be closed for a bridge repair project. This closure will be in effect through early summer 2008. WORK TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.

Eastbound Parallel Parkway ramp to northbound I-435 will be closed for a bridge repair project. This closure will be in effect through mid-summer 2008. WORK TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.

Northbound right lane will have intermittent closures from Leavenworth Road to K-5. This intermittent closure will be in effect through fall 2008.

Northbound and southbound will be reduced to two lanes between Leavenworth Road and 98th Street for resurfacing work. Between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily, this section of roadway may be reduced to one lane in each direction. This closure will be in effect through mid-summer 2008.

K-7

All ramps at the K-7 and US-24/40 interchange will be closed for construction on the new K-7 and US-24/40 interchange. This closure will be in effect through early winter 2008.

Northbound and southbound will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 130th Street to Parallel Parkway for construction of the new K-7 and US-24/40 interchange. This closure will be in effect through early winter 2008.

US-24/40 (State Avenue)

All ramps at the K-7 and US-24/40 interchange will be closed for construction on the new K-7 and US-24/40 interchange. This closure will be in effect through early winter 2008.

Eastbound and westbound will be reduced to one lane from 142nd Street to 130th Street for roadway reconstruction. This closure will be in effect through early winter 2008.
