Public Input Sought on Long-Range Transportation Plan
The Kansas Department of Transportation is seeking public input between Oct.
1 and Oct. 31 on the final draft of the state’s long-range transportation plan.
The plan is a policy document that covers future transportation development
in Kansas during the next 25 years. All transportation modes in Kansas will
be examined and topics explored will include future transportation funding,
corridor planning and the expanded use of Intelligent Transportation Systems
technologies.
The plan also examines current and projected trends in Kansas and offers insight
on what KDOT research indicates are appropriate transportation policy recommendations.
The plan is available for review and comment online at KDOT’s main
web site www.ksdot.org under “Publications
and Maps.” A hard copy is available upon request by contacting either David
Schwartz david@ksdot.org or Rene Hart rhart@ksdot.org,
by calling (785) 296-0343, or by writing to:
